So then we took it over to Jeff and Ashley's to test it out . . . . drum roll please . . . .

IT DIDN'T WORK. :(  So sad. 

We then told Jason that we had a back up plan . . . Shawn found one on Craigs List for $25.  The look on Jason's face was priceless.  "So you mean to tell me, I drove from Coppell to Arlington to get a ladder, that we didn't use, to drive to your house to climb up on the roof and to get a satellite that doesn't work and we could have paid $25 for one." 

Shawn replied, "Well, you would be really mad at me if we didn't have a back up plan right now."

Priceless . . . here's hoping that we are able to get this satellite today for the game tomorrow.  Go Frogs!!

Girls Weekend

Girls Weekends are the best . . . don't get me wrong, I love my husband, but hanging with the girls refreshes your mind and spirit . . . and not to mention you typically get an ab workout by laughing so much.

I went to visit my friend Jenn in Florida this weekend. She is a work colleague, and most recently, my boss, but we have worked together so long, she is much more than that. She is truly one of my closest friends.

Our girls weekend wasn't your typical girls weekend of shopping and martinis. It was golf, football and beer (with some wine (the drinking kind) scattered in).

Perfecto.

She lives in an area of Florida called the Villages. The average age is 55 (and Jenn is not). Don't ask how she ended up there. That being said, I knew it was a golfing community and based on what Jenn has told me about it, I was a little worried what I would be walking into. I was expecting a somber place where people go to die.

Boy oh boy was I wrong. It was a party . . . 7 days a week. These old people were out drinking me . . . and that says something. We even taught a 70 year old how to play "Never have I ever". If you know the game, you are probably laughing your hiney off right now. And let's just say I hope he got all that life experience because he is 70 and not a man whore. :)

There was line dancing (see videos below), golf, wine tasting, dancing, more drinking . . . it was a blast. I am sad it was such a short weekend, but it was a great one.

TCU's first Home Game

Saturday was a big day. It was TCUs FIRST home game, the FIRST game in the new stadium and the FIRST game playing in the Big 12. A lot of first's . . . but we didn't tailgate like it was our first time. We tailgated like no time had passed at all from last season. Here are a few pics from the special day:

Mom's 60th Birthday

Shawn and I hosted my mom's 60th birthday party this past weekend. I think everyone had a great time. The best part was that my Uncle who lives in NY suprised my mom (and me) by attending the party. Shawn and I went to the store this weekend to buy some (not all) of the booze for my mom's 60th Birthday. There were some great deals on Sunday so we took advantage (as you can see from the pics below). We had to have 2 carts to carry it all. There were lots of shocked looks and comments about our loot. And as timing would have it, when we were leaving, a customer of Shawn's was coming into the store. He said, 'you having a party?' I said no, 'we are just thirsty.' :)

Caymen Pictures

It's a bird, it's a plane . . . .

We went to Grand Caymen last week for a 5 day vacation and I have to say, it was pretty wonderful. My friend Brian is a pilot so we were fortunate enough to go on a private plane that he flew. It really is the way to fly. I wish I owned a plane . . . and I wish I was a pilot. :) Anyways, here is a video we shot before getting on the plane. It is a little hard to hear, but I think you will get the point. Turns out, the bird did come out during flight. Jumped around the plane awhile (scared crapless), was probably asking himself (what have I done?). Let's just say the bird problem was taken care of. We have now named one of our friends Sean Murphy, the BK.

More Mud Run

Mud Run

Mud Run is now off the Bucket List . . . check Seven brave souls (well, there were many more than that) but seven brave souls in my group of friends attempted the Mud Run on Saturday. What a trip it was. Lots of running, lots of obstacles (think tires, rope climb and mud pits) and lots of laughs (after we finished). The race wasn't easy, but I am also not in great shape. Below are some pictures my mom took to chronicle the event.

I had a trade show in San Antonio this weekend so Shawn flew down Friday night and we spent an extra day there. We had a blast and it was so wonderful to get away for the weekend. Here are some highlights:
